SWUTILITIES
Advanced RTP Pipeline Solutions
Engineering the Future of Non-Metallic Pipeline Technology
Founded in 2003, SWUTILITIES has established itself as a specialist engineering company delivering advanced composite pipeline solutions to the energy sector. With over two decades of experience, the company has successfully completed the installation, testing and commissioning of composite pipeline systems across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and North Africa, supporting major oil, gas and industrial infrastructure developments.

Our Heritage
SWUTILITIES has built its reputation on delivering technically demanding pipeline installation projects using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and other trenchless technologies. Our expertise enables operators to install pipeline systems safely, efficiently and with minimal environmental impact across challenging terrain.
Since its inception, SWUTILITIES has successfully delivered projects for leading operators throughout the Middle East, providing complete engineering support from project planning through commissioning.
Â
Industry Firsts
In 2012, SWUTILITIES achieved a significant industry milestone by introducing and installing the first Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipeline (RTP) system in the Kingdom of Bahrain for Tatweer Petroleum.
This pioneering project demonstrated the operational advantages of non-metallic pipeline technology and established SWUTILITIES as one of the region's early specialists in RTP installation.

The Next Generation of RTP
As energy markets transition towards cleaner fuels, SWUTILITIES is investing in the future of advanced composite pipeline technology.
Working alongside our strategic partners:
-
Aethon Energy (USA)
-
Ridgway Equipment (United Kingdom)
SWUTILITIES are developing a state-of-the-art Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) production facility within the GCC.

Technical Advantages
Corrosion resistantThermoplastic materials are inherently resistant to many corrosive fluids, reducing corrosion-related failures and coatings requirements.

Lightweight RTP can be substantially lighter than steel pipe, reducing transportation, lifting and installation requirements.

SpoolableLong continuous lengths can be manufactured and transported on reels, reducing the number of field joints.

Fast installationReel-based deployment can significantly reduce installation time compared with individually jointed rigid pipe.

Reduced field weldingEliminates or greatly reduces conventional pipeline welding, depending on the connection system.

Excellent chemical resistanceCan be engineered for produced water, hydrocarbons, chemicals and other demanding fluids.
